Cleveland, OH, August 22, 2019 - Shimadzu Medical Systems USA, a
subsidiary of Shimadzu Corporation is pleased to announce the first installation in the
USA of a Trinias unity C16 in a hybrid surgical environment. The system was installed by
Shimadzu’s dealer partner CMS Imaging, Inc based in North Charleston, SC, with sales and
service in 9 states including South Carolina.
"At CMS Imaging we pride ourselves
on providing our customers with comprehensive and best-in-class solutions. The Trinias
unity C16 will provide the physicians of Spartanburg Regional with a first-class
solution to improve the quality of care for their patients,” says John Sloan, CEO of CMS
Imaging.
“This was a very complex and exciting project for CMS Imaging and
Spartanburg Regional. They are very pleased with the effort and support by CMS Imaging
and Shimadzu Medical Systems personnel”, said Brian Collins of CMS Imaging.
Tim
Stevener, Director of the Shimadzu Interventional X-ray Business indicated that, “The
installation at Spartanburg Regional will be an outstanding collaboration with Dr.
Calton and his team to show the latest imaging technology for vascular surgical
procedures”.
Dr. William Calton, Vascular Surgeon, explains that he is pleased
with the imaging that he has already seen, stating, “The imaging with the Trinias system
is very good. I’m frequently using Score RSM for my vascular procedures, and I can see
the vascular structures in subtraction with no motion artifact, even when the patient
moves! I am surprised to discover that my contrast usage is reduced, as well as the
measured doses per procedure. The workflow at the tableside for c-arm positioning and
tableside operation is simple and easy to use.”
Spartanburg Regional began doing
vascular imaging and surgical procedures in their new room on July
8th.
