Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Scottish Rite

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC - During the previous five years, CMS Imaging, Inc and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Scottish Rite Hospital have partnered to place into service four Shimadzu MobileDaRt Evolution MX 7 mobile x-ray machines and 3 Shimadzu Radspeed Pro Auto radiographic rooms. Additionally, there is another Radspeed Auto radiographic room planned for delivery, installation, and beginning of usage in 2018.

"In choosing our radiographic equipment we were looking for exceptional customer service and the ability to customize the machines for pediatric use," said Nikki Butler, the Radiology Quality Manager at the hospital.

The standard table height settings on most radiographic systems are not ideal for a children's hospital, thus decreasing the efficiency of the workflow. Instead, the Scottish Rite Hospital was in need of specific table height settings for newborns, infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers and beyond. Additionally, the imaging techniques set on the machines are specific for pediatric cases to reduce dosing for the patients. These customizations have led to improved workflow and an enhanced standard of care for the facility's patients.
